I remember the day when I had my easy-peasy office job and I could spend the afternoon menu planning in my mind. Sometimes the thought of a really great dinner was all it took to get through the last few hours of the day. My route home through Manhattan home took me past many shops where I could easily spend as much as $50 on wonderful ingredients always including a bottle of wine on my list. However, we’ve had a sudden change and are more cost and time conscience.
It all started with the birth of our daughter “Storkbite” in January 2008. We became a small family trying to cope with keeping it all together and focusing on one daily goal - dinner. These are the stories and helpful hints for the ladies who try to balance work, life, family, and friendships. Because it’s never clear what course the average day will take, the focus will be on a very basic premise - what we ate for dinner last night.

I love storkbite stew!
Amazing concept and the zucchini pizza (as well as everything else, I am sure) is not to be missed. Perhaps could we see a suggestion for a savory watermelon salad?
keep up the great work!

Hello Storkbite and Storkbite Mama!
Is the Basic sauce, the oven roasted and blended veggies? The one you do in lieu of your Mother’s canned sauce?
Whatever is on the ravioli looks ultra yummy and I intend to make it and eat it. Also I had great success recreating veggie pizza this weekend (twice!) and watermelon salad, thanks to you.
thanks for the inspirations!
XOXOXOX
