Having a girl (which I assumed would not be the case) has caused me to drag out my 1970s sewing machine and dive head over heels into the world of crafts.  As if I didn’t have enough to do!

In the past month I have turned our quaint little Queens apartment into a sweatshop of the worst kind.  Not the kind of place a slithering babe should be.  I have been producing shirts and aprons for our local craft fair on Oct. 11, 2008 from noon - dusk at Sunnyside Gardens Park.

Look for Helen’s Bloomers there at the SSCOOP Crafters Booth.  Many of the baby and kids shirts are UPCYCLED so they are quite inexpensive. Come!
